2019年、照井利幸３作目となるソロアルバムが完成。
プロデューサーに細海魚を迎え、想像の赴くままに自由な音作りで独自の世界を描く。

Profile
1990年、Blankey Jet Cityのベーシストとしてメジャーデビュー。
2000年、10年にわたる活動に終止符を打ち解散。
2001年以降、Rosso, Raven, Twin Tail, Pontiacsなど様々なプロジェクトに参加し独創的な世界を追求する。
同時期、自らプロデュースするファッションブランドCelt&Cobraの運営、デザインを精力的に行い音楽とファッションの融合を成し遂げるが2007年、惜しまれながらも突然廃業を宣言し解散。
2008年、自主レーベルWELDを設立、それと同時にインストゥルメンタルユニットSignalsを結成。ベースからアコースティックギターに転向し以前までの激しいロックから内的な静かな世界へと向かい始める。
同年、Signals 1st「Lapis Sky」を発表。
2009年、Signals 2nd「光と影と人工衛星”the light, the shadow, the satellite”」を発表。
2010年、初の個人名義ソロアルバム「Float」を発表。
2011年、Signals 3rd「Naked Fool」を発表。
2013年から約1年、広島県尾道に単身移住し民家に独り篭りソロアルバムをレコーディング。
2014年、ソロ2nd「What I think about the world」を発表。
2015年、東京へ戻り自主ブランド「THERE」を立ち上げ、8年ぶりに服作りに再開。
同年、東京上目黒にショップ「THERE」をオープン。
2018年、「What I think about the World」リマスター盤の発表を機に音楽創作に入る。
2019年、約8年ぶりとなるSignals 4th「Moon Fiction」２部作品を発表。
同年、ソロ3rd「IMPULSE」を発表。
2020年、Signalsのメンバーでもあるオルガン奏者”細海魚”とタッグを組みデジタルとアナログを
融合させたユニット”ROMEN”を結成。
同年、1st「AO」を発表。
そのほか親交の深い映画監督、豊田利晃作品「モンスターズクラブ」、「泣き虫しょったんの奇跡」、「破壊の日」などに楽曲提供するなど精力的に創作活動を行うとともに常に自身の進化を求め、音楽の可能性を見つめている。


Terui first made his major debut as the bassist for Blankey Jet City in 1990.

In 2000, after 10 years and countless stages, the band broke up. Terui went on to join several projects, such as Rosso, Raven, Twin Tail, and Pontiacs in search of his own original sound. It was around this time that he launched and produced the fashion brand Celt & Cobra, vigorously melding music and fashion, until in 2007, when he suddenly and reluctantly had to discontinue production.

In 2008, Terui founded his own label Weld, forming the instrumental unit, Signals, at the same time. During this time, Terui put down his base, saying goodbye to his days as a fierce rock'n roller and picked up the acoustic guitar, moving forward into a quieter, inner-world of his own. In the same year, Signals released their first album Lapis Sky, following up with the light, the shadow, the satellite the following year. In 2010, he released his first solo album Float under his full name.

2011 saw the release of Naked Fool, Signals' third album.

In 2013, he moved to Onomichi in Hiroshima Prefecture to privately record a solo album in a rustic old-fashion house.

In 2014, he released his second solo album What I Think About the World.

In 2015, he returned to Tokyo and started his own brand THERE, producing clothes again for the first time in 8 years. That same year, he opened his shop THERE in Kami-meguro, Tokyo.

In 2018, he reentered the recording studio in preparation for the remastered version of What I think about the World.

In 2019, Signals released their fourth album Moon Fiction after an eight-year break, while Terui released his third solo album IMPULSE.

In 2020, he teamed up with Signals' member Sakana Hosomi (E.piano & Organ), to form ROMEN, fusing digital and analog sounds, releasing their first album AO later that year.

With his eyes always set on what possibilities music may bring, Terui constantly seeks his own evolution through his creative output, even including composing music for film director and friend Toshiaki Toyoda for movies such as Monsters Club, The Miracle of Crybaby Shottan and The Day of Destruction.
